Another morning visit...

I don't think there is a better time than the early morning for a brisk walk...the rising sun casts a golden glow on everything in it's path, the air seems cooler and easier to breathe and I get to visit my friends up the road when they are grazing in the dewy fields!

I love how the sunlight frames their angelic little faces (and butts), as the go about their business of...well, I guess wondering who is this woman in their meadow!

Most times, curiosity will get the best of the calves and they will stroll on over for a quick visit...

...and it isn't usually very long before they realize that I don't have food!!

I had the feeling that this one was thinking "really?!...you got nothing??"...or she could just be thinking about chewing her cud...not sure?

Most of the older girls are used to my paparazzi-like behaviour, and ignore me as I do my thing...

...and others just keep nursing their young and switching pesky flies, totally unaware of their internet fame!

I love my morning walks and watching these magnificent, gentle animals...always one of the best parts of my day!
