Happy Mother's Day to All!

Mother's Day is a very special time of the year...a day that we give thanks for all of the influential women in our lives...whether it be your Mom, step Mother or that certain person that has been your role model, mentor or just plain best friend.

Selfless souls that gave us life and love.

My Mom...the giver of kisses that would magically heal a scraped knee, the best bedtime story teller and cookie baker, taxi driver and housekeeper, budget stretcher and meal maker...the person at supper time that claimed to "like the chicken wing best", so us kids could have the legs...endless smiles and comforting hugs...an all 'round best friend. A multi-tasking phenomenon that made our house a home.

Years of experience, knowledge and stories are passed down from the matriarchs of the family that shape us into the people we are today.

I miss my Mom every minute of every day since she has been gone...she was a true angel on earth as she is in Heaven. I am very grateful to have had her as long as I did, to show me the ropes and teach me to be the Mom that I am today.

My daughter is my best friend and I look forward to sharing with her, everything that my Mom taught me...I was lucky to have learned from the best! Happy Mother's Day to all :)
