Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my Mom's birthday.

Looking at this fountain of youth, having fun at the Sadie Hawkins dance with her friend, makes it hard to believe that my beautiful Mother would be 70 years old today.

...and when I say that she was beautiful, I'm not just saying that because she is my Mom and because I follow in her footsteps (just seeing if you are paying attention!)...I say this because she was beautiful inside and out.

A lovely, young bride...

...and the best Mom that my brother and I could have ever hoped for. She was a true lady, full of class and I wish that I had her style and grace (she did mention a few times that I was like a bull in a china shop)...because she seemed to have it all.

I had to include this photo even though it is blurry, because a) we had a wicked car and b) this shows you that she also had the patience of Job to put up with those two hooligans in front of her!

She must have given up on my attitude at this point...you see, she was also a Saint!
